What is NIS - The Neurological Integration System
Natalie from Neuro Restore applies the NIS approach, safe, non-invasive, and non-manipulative holistic method of health care. It is suitable for newborn babies right through to the elderly, as well as those who are very sick or injured.
How long will the results last? Each case is unique, and Neuro Restore treatment outcomes will vary from client to client.
Results can depend on:
The length of time the client has had the complaint
The severity of the complaint
The age of the person
There are some complaints that should only need to be addressed once (over the first series of treatments).
As we go though our daily lives we are continuously exposed to external stressors that can
overload our body systems causing new issues to arise.
The key is to be pro-active, to have ‘check-ups’ when you need to. Particularly If you are going through a stressful time in your life, have an active illness, have work or home stressors to name a few…
Having a check-up helps to ensure that you continue to operate to your optimum potential!
Neurological Integration Principles
#1. NIS is based on the neurophysiological premise that the brain (not the mind) governs all normal and optimal body function.
Neuroscience is the basis upon which all NIS protocols are based. Therefore, the brain, rather than the practitioner per se, is the most accurate and definitive source for evaluating and correcting the complaint.
#2. The clients brain makes the corrections, not the practitioner.
This is where the paradigm shift comes in. Practitioners using NIS rely on the neurological feedback from the clients brain to correct dysfunction, rather than relying on what the practitioner might think is wrong. The practitioner is a facilitator in the correction process and does not actually initiate any corrective procedures herself. The practitioner facilitates the resetting of the neurological circuitry so the brain can then correct the dysfunction. When the brain corrects dysfunction, physiological changes are precise, accurate, definitive and infinitely complex – something that “man” is not capable of!
#3. NIS DOES NOT treat labelled complaints.
It returns all body systems to optimum potential - for that individual.
NIS uses a system of sequential and prioritised protocols to evaluate and correct any areas of dysfunction in the body’s systems. This determines the underlying neurophysiological reasons as to why the client has their symptom pattern. The protocols evaluate integrated function and not isolated function. i.e: how the body’s systems work together in unison, taking into consideration physiological interrelationships. Body systems do not work in isolation so should never be assessed and treated as such. Integrated neurophysiological function must be addressed for the real root cause of complaint to be fully resolved.
What is NIS…?
How does NIS work? First, we identify any 'disengaged' signals using the NIS system (a series of prioritised protocols) by holding specific anatomical contact points and doing a MUSCLE TEST to identify any issues pushed past their tolerance levels. Once identified we can facilitate the BRAIN to re-set the circuitry for all the body systems to return to optimum potential - for that individual.
What happens during an NIS treatment? During an NIS treatment your practitioner uses a muscle test (also known as applied kinesiology) and runs through a series of checks (the NIS system). We do this by contacting specific anatomical contact points on the body, from there we are able to identify which signals between the neurology (brain) and physiology (body) are not getting through. These points are similar to those used in Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture.
Our approach is unique in that we are accessing the intelligence of the brain through muscle testing and using these external anatomical contact points.
We do not use any machines, manipulation, drugs / medications, special diets, or exercises, although lifestyle can play a significant role in the recovery from some conditions. A holistic approach is sought after when necessary.
When a disconnected signal is identified we use a method called integration and ‘tap’ a very specific area of the cranium (head) so that the brain is able to restore the signal.
Once this happens and communication resumes, the neurology (brain) is able to begin returning your physiology (body) back to its optimum function, thus restoring homeostasis. So in turn the symptom/s you are experiencing will begin to resolve.

Restoring whole body wellness through neurological integration
In the book of Psalms, David writes in chapter 139 verses 13 and 14:
“for it was You who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise You because I have been fearfully and wonderfully made”.
Fearfully when translated from the hebrew means with great reverence, heart-felt interest, and with respect. Wonderfully when translated from the hebrew means unique and set apart.
